In June 2011, one of my favorite sites, Make Use Of, posted this great and helpful article on camera apps: “10 Powerful & Useful iPhone Camera Apps To Help You Take Better Pictures”. For those still using their iPhone 3 phones (we that can not yet afford to upgrade to iPhone 4, that is) should definitely read “Take Better Pictures With Free Camera”, which shows how the free Camera Plus app can give you features and results similar to that of iPhone 4 users.
The “Screen Shutter” feature alone is worth the download for me - it turns your entire screen into a shutter button, allowing you to take self-portraits or arm-length group shots much more easily!

Pay Dirt!
You know, written out like that, “pay dirt” seems awfully silly and meaningless.
You have to wonder how the phrase ever came to be associated with achieving one’s objective, as in “strike pay dirt” or “hit pay dirt”.
It seems, looking at it written out like that, to be more a simple sentence instructing someone to literally fork over money to unclean matter rather than a turn of phrase or cliche.
Anyhow, my pay dirt comes in the form of finding hundreds of lost iPhone photos saved on my computer. For whatever reason, I get pretty artsy with my iPhone, in ways I never seemed able to do with an actual camera. I love taking iPhone pictures, especially with apps like Hipstamatic and Instagram.
Now that I have found my treasure trove, I will be uploading this original content over the weekend, as well as continuing to add new iPhone photos as I take/create them. Any apps or post-photo software (i.e. Photoshop) that are used will be noted either in the caption and/or tags. All photos taken with my iPhone will have the tag iPhone Pix and a link is being added to my menu on the left of this blog to access these.
