About

I am prepared to meet anyone, but whether anyone is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter. - Mark Twain

In a land where ghosts and ghost stories were as common and accepted as the gray, curling moss dripping from the oak and pecan trees, the art of storytelling was a rite of passage in any young Southerners’ life.

As for myself, quite literally raised “on the bayou”, I was not immune to this bard-like existence.

Writing since I could hold a pen, I have put out an extensive mess of words that have, over the years, accumulated into a myriad of web sites, blogs, and even a few published works.

Words do not, yet, a paycheck make, however, I keep up my geeky street cred with a website (skatoolaki.com) and blog (digitopus.com).

My greatest passion & hobby at the moment is graving, and more info on that can be found on my graving blog at graversjournal.tumblr.com.  You can find me on twitter at @graversjournal.

I am in the process of scanning all the old family photos and am uploading them, with stories/info as I can, at lalineage.tumblr.com.  If you like history and/or old photos, you should definitely check it out.

I also love cats - especially my own - and, with inspiration from the Calico Cats blog, started two cat-centric blogs of my own.  If you love kitties, too, or want to share your own, please check out Bazar Chat Noir (black cats only) and Tuxedo Kitties (tux cats only).

On my Tumblr you’ll find a bunch of shit that makes me either swoon, laugh, lust, or ponder life; such as: women (esp women smoking, rawr), tattoos/body mod, skulls, old keys, clocks, nature, books, the occult, cats, tea, quotes, blood, crows, and anything deliciously morbid.  Expect to see lots of that kind of stuff here.

As for the personal, I’m 4’10” of awesome, Cajun and proud, and I reside in Louisiana’s lovely capital city of Baton Rouge with my fiancé, our children of five cats, and a fish named Google.

And, no, my other car is not a pirogue.
